Terms & Conditions


Terms and conditions must be accepted by all pupils and parents / guardians.

Fees are due at the end of the previous term for lessons commencing the following term.
If fees are not received on time there will be a late charge of £20, or you may lose your place in those classes.
There are no refunds if a pupil is absent from a class and no reductions for part term attendance.
If a class is cancelled, it will rescheduled. If it is not possible to reschedule, fees will be subtracted from the forthcoming terms fees.
If it is necessary to cancel a class due to adverse weather conditions, class fees will not be refunded.
If a pupil is asked to leave a class due to any of the conditions detailed within this document they will not be refunded. This includes class fees, show fees, summer school or exam fees.
Any monies being given in should be in a named envelope clearly stating what is being paid for.
In the event that cheques have to be represented to the bank or are declined totally the pupil / pupil’s parents must pay the costs incurred.

Class uniforms are as described in the document – uniform details.
All pupils should wear their hair in a bun for ballet and tied back off the face for all other classes. ALL fringes should be clipped out of their face.
Jewellery items, which the teacher feels may cause injury or feel inappropriate for the class must be removed or the student will not be permitted to participate in the class.

Classes run back to back on the timetable without a break. Pupils should be dressed and ready to start their class before entering the studio & leave promptly at the end.
Pupils are asked to wait quietly outside the hall until their class begins.
Pupils are expected to demonstrate respectful behaviour towards their teachers and fellow students.
Pupils are not permitted to leave the hall during a class without permission from the teacher.

Parents will respect all members of staff.
Parents will not criticise any members of staff in public and if they have concerns should speak with a teacher.
Parents will refrain from entering any hall during a class.
Parents will collect their child promptly at the end of each lesson.
Fees are due at the end of the previous term for the following term.
4 weeks notice must be given, before the fee due date, of any classes you will be stopping. This should be in writing in the form of a letter or email, not via text or facebook message.
If any trophies are won during your time at the school, they remain the property of Pointers and must be returned at the correct time or upon leaving the school.
Any abuse to members of staff from parents, or pupils, verbally, by text, email, social networking site or other websites will mean instant dismissal of the child with no fees given back for any of the remaining term
NO fees are refundable for ANY reason – this includes fees, show fees, summer school fees, festival fees and exam fees.
